Development

In 1993, the system joined what is now called Benton/Washington Regional Public Water Authority. Benton County Water District # 1 is a charter member of this organization.

Benton County Water District # 1 completed a Master Plan in July 2000; This Master Plan indicated needing storage and various line upgrades. The system put 1.25 million gallons of storage on line in late 2004 in addition to a portion of the line upgrades in 2001.

The master plan was updated in 2007, which indicates the system needs a backbone line across the system. This line will supply needed flows to prevent areas of the system from loosing volume and pressure during peak flows hours during the day.

The Board of Directors have approved 2023 Schedule of Fees, which will go into effect January 1, 2023. Please review the Schedule of Fees tab and the Public Notice tab to become familiar with the new rates and fees.
